Island sauna by boat, Helsinki & Espoo

We depart from Helsinki's Eteläranta or Espoo's Haukilahti and cruise through the archipelago to a sauna on one of the islands. You have two to three hours to enjoy the sauna, swim in the sea and relax on the rocks before we head back through the evening archipelago.

Private use of the whole yacht, never shared. Professional skipper (that's me, Janne). A 2 to 3 hour sauna package on the island. Drinking water, soft drinks and coffee. Fuel for the standard route. Life jackets and safety equipment for all guests. Toilet on board.

Food and alcoholic drinks. You are welcome to bring your own, there are glasses and cooler space aboard. Catering, champagne, flowers or a photographer can be arranged on request.

Sauna and sea belong together, and the best saunas are on islands. We cruise from Helsinki or Espoo through the archipelago to a wood-heated sauna on the shore of one of the islands, and you have two to three hours to alternate between the steam, the sea and the warm rocks. The sauna package is included in the price, with towels and firewood arranged. Bring your own drinks and something to eat for the terrace. Afterwards we take the slow route home through the evening light. Five to six hours all in, for up to six guests, and probably the most Finnish thing you can do in a single afternoon.

We work with a few island saunas in the Helsinki and Espoo archipelago and pick the one that suits your group size and the day’s wind. All are wood-heated, on the shore, with direct access to the sea for swimming.

Private use of the sauna for two to three hours, heated and ready when we arrive, with firewood and towels. Drinks and food are not included, so bring what you like for the terrace, or ask us to arrange them.

Yes, and many guests prefer it. May, early June and September are quieter on the islands, the sauna feels even better when the air is cooler, and the evening light is at its best. The season runs from April to October.

From Eteläranta in central Helsinki or Haukilahti marina in Espoo. The saunas are 30 to 45 minutes away by boat, and we bring you back to the same marina in the evening.
