The Skipper

Hello, I'm Janne, your skipper aboard Alexandra.

For the past seven summers, I've spent countless days exploring the Gulf of Finland, the Baltic Sea and the Finnish Archipelago. No matter how many times I visit the same islands or anchor in the same quiet bay, I never get tired of being out here. Every trip still feels a little different.

I like the old quote: ”It is not that life ashore is distasteful to me. But life at sea is better."

That's the feeling I'd love to share with you. Whether we're discovering hidden islands, cruising through the archipelago or crossing the Gulf to Tallinn, my hope is that you'll leave with memories that make you want to come back to the sea again.

My formal qualifications include the International Certificate for Operators of Pleasure Craft (ICC) and the Finnish Charter Boat Operator Certificate. In addition, I have completed the Finnish Archipelago Skipper Course, Coastal Skipper Course, Charter Boat Operator Legal Examination, First Aid Training, and a practical Boating Competence Assessment conducted by a Traficom-authorized examiner.

These qualifications are supported by extensive real-world experience operating private boat charters safely and professionally in the Baltic Sea.
